Fighters Jet moden adalah kunci untuk mengawal medan perang. Sejak pengenalan Mustang P-51 dalam Perang Dunia II, Amerika Syarikat sentiasa meletakkan penekanan penuh keunggulan udara. Jika anda kawalan udara, anda mengawal tanah.

Pejuang moden dibangunkan dengan memotong nyatakan kelebihan teknologi terkini. Daripada reka bentuk stealth, enjin maju dan vectoring teras paksi padang. Baru topi keledar dipasang mensasarkan memaparkan membuat-jet lebih membawa maut. Tetapi latihan juruterbang masih menjadi faktor utama.

Tentera udara AS, tentera laut dan marin mengamalkan lebih daripada mana-mana cabang tentera udara lain di dunia.
